Payment holidays question - limit in term changing mortgage provider

Options
I just called my mortgage provider to just check I could take a payment break as some help while I'm on maternity leave.

I can take a mortgage break (3months) over my maternity leave

I get 6 per term of the mortgage so 6 in 30 years!!!
!
I've taken one When a change in job meant a change in
payday.

But if we changed mortgage when my rate ends, which is likely, or at another point - to another company I wonder if that allowance would start again?

It's not something I want to rely on but it'd be nice to have the option there for the future if I needed it!

If it doesn't then we'll have to consider our options.

Hope that makes sense!!

Any ideas??

Different lender. Different policy. Also no guarantees that the rules will never change during the mortgage term.

Also not advisable on too many occassions as the deferred debt including interest can quickly mount. Resulting in far higher monthly repayments.
