Walnuts where to buy?

Where can I buy Walnuts cheap?
The cheapest I've found is suprisingly Tesco if you buy in the tiny packets (oddly Almonds are cheaper this way too buying many small bags)
Tesco Walnut pieces (100g) are 83p unfortunately at the time of writing my large tesco store seemed not to stock them
Holland & Barrett are always expensive and even tesco beats them on price even if a sale is on usually the same with ALL health food shops.
I've tried my local asian foodstore pak foods in stoke-on-trent who sell an enomourous range of nuts (Almonds and other nuts are mega cheap) but oddly only sell walnuts in tiny packets and more expensive than Tesco.
Can anyone recommend any other supermarkets?
Thanks
Rob

I buy mine in Aldi - their nuts are in the same area as the flour and sugar and they are all under their "the pantry" range. Can't remember exactly how much they were last time but I remember them being much cheaper than Tesco or similar.Jane

I use the Lidl ones they are cheapest and lovely Californian ones not the vile Chinese ones.0

I bought some in Julian Graves last time I needed some, but will be getting them from Lidl from now on - thanks for posting about this! I thought they were really expensive at the time but needed them that day for cooking!0

I found Lidl being cheapest as well. And they are very tasty and fresh.0

I regularly check out Julian Graves and H & B and buy whatever is on offer - It's always the way that when you want an ingredient like walnuts you can never find any on offer! I bought the latest copy of the JG magazine yesterday and its got 2 pages of coupons with some really good savings (unfortunately none for walnuts though!) But still well worth the pound paid for the magazine.0

Lidl have packets of walnuts on offer this weekend only - saw them earlier but I'm afraid I can't remember how much they were.0
