1st was Friday. They wouldnt have got into the bank on the 4th as that was monday and the clearing cycle isnt that quick. If it left them on the 1st, it would get into your bank today (assuming its one of the big 4 - if an ex building society, it could take a few days longer). If it left them on the 4th, it would arrive tomorrow.
And no, you cant claim interest if it left them within reasonable time.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Hi Maypole.
First things first....sort out the problem with the lump sum payment, and pension payments, then rattle cages about any potential compensation for late payment.
As I understand it, it is Capita Hartshead, one of the UK's leading pension providers, who is responsible for paying Civil Service pensions. Capita Hartshead provides this service under contract to the Cabinet Office who is the manager of the Civil Service pension schemes.
Cabinet Office continue to be managers of the Civil Service pension schemes.
If you have any queries about your pension, you should contact Capita Hartshead on 08701 699700, or e-mail csp.enquiries@Capita.co.uk
Alternatively, you can write to them at:
Capita Hartshead,
PO Box 215,
Mowden Hall,
Darlington,
Co. Durham
DL3 9GT.
Also take a look at http://www.prospect.org.uk/pensions/index - the Civil Service Union website who clearly state that "We have an excellent record in....resolving problems relating to the late payment of pension benefits".
Good luck

Hello there
Thanks for replies. Just checked bank account "lump" gone in after midnight tonight. We will have to enquire about interest maybe.0
