E: 30/09 Win a KYMCO Super 8 50cc Scooter

Options
Dirt Bike Rider

This mega prize, KYMCO’s Super 8 50cc Scooter, recently triumphed on Channel 5’s The Gadget Show’s ‘Top 5 Scooter’ feature. It not only made Suzi Perry’s Top 5, but came Third, beating off stiff competition from more than forty other scooters.
The Super 8’s impressive sports design - white/red/black paintwork, edgy graphic panels, twin tinted halogen headlights, alloy wheels and tinted sports screen - has made it one of KYMCO’s most popular models.
The ripper 2-stroke machine, which is powered by KYMCO’s single cylinder, air cooled engine, makes it highly fuel-efficient too, capable of achieving in excess of 100 miles per gallon as well as producing very low carbon emissions. This highly technical specification also gives the Super 8 improved acceleration and performance, making it ideal forswiftly moving around a congested town or city. The 14” six-spoke alloy wheels and long wheel base add to its performance, providing a stable, comfortable and safe ride.
Other features include: powerful front disc and rear drum brakes, electric and kick-start, automatic choke, lockable under seat storage box for helmet, shopping or waterproofs, steering lock, rear carrier, centre and side stands. The Super 8 also comes with a 2-year unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty.
And if that’s not enough, the lucky winner could also save £1000’s a year on running costs; fuel, tax, insurance and maintenance are all significantly cheaper on a Scooter than a car – and if you live in the City you’ll find free parking and will be exempt from the London congestion charge!

Answer: In excess of 100 miles

My answer is purely based on quick searching, so it might be a good idea to double check?:o

Good Luck:)

I have performed multiple searches but do apologise in advance if this is a dupe:)

    It's a dupe of https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3225404

In the corner of the original it says Dirt Bike Rider is a "partner" of Be-Addictive, and note that the comments below the comp are common to both sites.

    I will request a merge.

    Dear Members,

To all complainants who allege for example, it's a dupe, you've entered it already etc etc..
Let me now clarify a few points.

    1. Unless members have a gun held to their head, none of you are forced to enter any competition whatsoever.
You do it simply of your own free will.
    2. With regard to this particular competition, the prize, question and closing date are the same however; the competitions listed are from 2 completely different company names and websites.
Dirt Bike Rider, is a "Partner" of Be Addictive NOT Be Addictive themselves therefore; these two websites are completely different.
Furthermore, as these two websites are completely different, the competition entries I have submitted, are separately valid.
    3. If any member wishes to question the integrity of the information I have supplied, please find the relevant external link T&C's from Be Addictive as follows:

    "External Links
The Service may from time to time contain links to other Internet sites and resources ("External Links"). You acknowledge that we are not responsible for, and have no liability as a result of, the availability of External Links or their contents. We suggest that you review the terms of use and privacy statement of such External Links prior to use of them."

The following T&C's are from Dirt Bike Rider:

"Links to Third Party Sites. The Publisher links to a wide variety of other sites and it displays advertisements from third parties on the Website. The Publisher is not responsible for the content or privacy policies of these sites and third party advertisers, nor for the way in which information about their users is treated. In particular, unless expressly stated, the Publisher is not an agent for these sites or advertisers nor is it authorised to make representations on their behalf."

Of course, the above sets of T&C's from both 'Separate' Companies list separate T&C's.
This clarifies the comments regarding the allegation that Be Addictive are Dirt Bike Rider, as this is an inaccurate and untrue statement.

Afterall, most vehicles on our British Roads have black tyres on their wheels however; their not all made by the same company are they?
Also, various letters and parcels are common however; their not all sent and delivered by Royal Mail are they?
As we are married, my Husband is my /a Partner however; he's not me, as he's male not female therefore; he is separate and different, even though he's my partner.

    4. Regarding the member comment, I've already entered this...I'll do a search.
I myself have entered the said competition on both Be Addictive and Dirt Bike Rider and both my enteries have been accepted with no advisory notice given.

Finally, with regard to the allegation that this is a dupe and is going to request a merge, go for it.
Afterall, if you note, both competition posts in question were both listed by myself so, in your unneccessary request for a merge, you will only be merging back to the original OP.

So cool, thanks in advance, you'll do me a favour but thanks for your inputs anyway!

Are you having a "bad day"? ;)
  • But not for the above reasons.

I signed up a couple weeks ago to moan about this site. This competition was won by a friend of the owner of the site. A lot of the decent prizes go to his mates. The unwanted stuff gets sent out or stuff they have loads of.

Makes me think what other sites do this. Those sites that post pictures of winners... Are they really!?
