Looking for a decent tripod for OH for Christmas,

any recommendations of websites,please would be appreciated.

I know you're looking for a decent one, but thought I'd add my two penneth ;-)

I wanted a small one, just so I could be in some of the family pics at christmas. In Marks & Spencer, they do a relatively small one for £5 in their 3 for 2 offers for christmas. I have tried it just to make sure it works and it does - I was amazed! Have a look next time you're there, it's most suitable to put on a table or something, it's not got really long legs or anything....

Thanks for that, my OH has one but is wanting to do more professional pics so looking to spend about £150 for special Xmas pressie.

Yikes £150 is a very good trypod thats manfrotto sort of prices,

I like the ones from https://www.7dayshop.com they are very strong come with base plates and very good quality but not £150 ish.

Ebay has lots of manfrotto `s but i think you have to purchase a seperate head eg you get the 3 legs but nothing to put the camera on.

I got a Hamma Gamma from 7dayshop for about £30 and is very good!
