SW - what did I say to you? It's not about people not wanting to help. Are you sure you are ready for the truth? You may not like it and then where will you be?
talking about mice...... we have a regular visitor, but he was early tonight, put me off my studying.
I have finally found the hole where he is coming from. it is so tiny, you wouldn't think it possible. now need to find the other hole he is visiting. I have a feeling it is in the cupboard which has EVERYTHING stacked in but I can't deal with it with DS at home. looks like I will have to take a day off to deal with it.0 -
the only friends i have are here or on SAs thread. I am unsubscribing from everything else. Had enough.
Gareth just tried to help on facebook I ripped his head off. Me what am i turning into?Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Good Evening Everyone.
3Dogs...sorry to hear your Mam was shouting again. I hope she settles and has a good nights sleep.
SW...you OK Hun? Do you need a `testing` alert? personally I never subscribe to any threads just pop in & out as I feel like it. I know that I miss loads of stuff but then I can`t get dragged down by it all like I used to be.
Aesop...I had a few mice at the last house I renovated. One of my dogs actually caught & killed one!! I sealed all the holes and edging(skirting board edges) with bathroom sealant...it worked really well too (guess it doesn`t taste nice to the mice).
HL - hope you are doing OK and good luck on your blog..
Boultdj - if you are around Hun I hope you managed to avoid that rainstorm earlier!0 -

I put steel wool down the hole we found them coming from last year. I put steel wool in the cupboard where the holes were. When I went back in the cupboard and moved everything, the mice had tried to make a nest with the steel wool! it was all shredded!
a friend has suggested I get a rag saturate it in peppermint oil as rats and mice hate the smell and stuff this down the holes. But it is a tiny hole, so may just put drops of peppermint down it and then block the hole, like you suggested. problem with rented accommodation! :mad:0 -
Thankyou Angel - here but struggling so I don't feel able to be part of this tonight, sorry xx0

If there is a hole they will come through it I`m afraid...they are clever little beggars.
I found a little trick ( which is a bit unorthodox) but if you get a cheap, thin, bin liner , put some chocolate or broken biscuit inside & leave it loose on the floor. When you hear the rustling you know that there is a mouse in there ....you can scoop up the bag & take it straight outside. If you do have any indoors they will fall for this trick everytime. I discovered it as I heard them in a carrier bag when I was in bed one night:eek::eek:....reckon I caught about a dozen that way!0 -
SW!!!! Leave him alone, he is happy
don't worry about being psycho. We all are, otherwise we would not be able to exist in this world.
I think you need some proper food, no chocolate, biscuits or crisps. Have a banana and go to bed.
have exam tomorrow so don't know when I will be on.0
