Sooo excited about this (and tweeted him to tell him that!)

This and the Olympics will not help in clearing my credit card debt in 2011 but I can cope with a couple more months debt repayments to go and see him again.

I've been a fan since 1984 and never thought I'd ever get to see him live but managed to get to 3 concerts in 2006/2007 and now this.

I've bought my membership and put in for presale invites for Liverpool, Sheffield, Newcastle, Birmingham and Manchester. Fingers crossed :j

Does buying a membership give you a definate, guaranteed advantage?

I wasn't sure yesterday, I joined the thing but didn't pay the membership, it was unclear whether the presale invite was on condition of buying the membership. I had confirmation I'm on the mailing list but no invite yet
  • I also saw him twice on the 25 tour and paid a small fortune through a ticket agent as I missed out on tickets when they went on sale - I would be very interested if membership guaranteed you an advantage - just love George :j

From what i gather, joining the mailing list is pot luck whether you get a presale invite but if you pay the full membership for the year you are guaranteed a presale invite. But they do not guarantee you tickets! Hope that makes sense!

    Thanks for posting this!!

George is the last of the blokes who I've wanted to see live (seen Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie and George Benson) and he's playing in December, so there's mine and my husbands birthday presents sorted (our bdays are the 22nd and 23rd)!

Thats my take on it also; if you want to see him, then i would pay the 24.99 fee ( just another cash making scheme.........)
