I wake up most mornings with an aching neck and headache - so do these pillows really help and if so, which are best please? There seems to be a huge difference in prices.

A memory foam pillow did not help me much - though it felt more supportive. I went back to using a 'standard' pillow when I changed my bed and touch wood, have not suffered any aches & pains since0 -
I really like my memory foam pillow, it's one of the 'shaped' ones that contour around your neck. I tried one of the other ones before that are supposed to mould to your own shape, just a normal pillow shape, but much heavier but this was no good for me. The one I have that I like is from Asda, although I've had it for a couple of years now and it's lost it's shape a bit, I need to buy a new one but it was quite cheap.0

I too have one of the shaped pillows - don't think it's memory foam, bought it form Lidl as a trial run, didn't want to spend a fortune on a pillow to find I did not like it. Next time I see an offer on the shaped memory foam I shall be investing as I no longer wake up with neck/back ache, and am sleeping far better. My OH complained it would be too hard for him, but I have my little groove in it now and it is perfect.
It would not be any good for anyone who sleeps on their front though. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
The one I bought was too firm....like a sandbag, and it stunk of fish for ages when new (Google memory foam smell).
I've binned it now and bought a fairly expensive feather one that is fantastic."A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0 -
I had a memory pillow but had to ditch it as I too had a headache every morning. My hubby on the other hand loves his. I've since resorted back to a good feather pillow and a normal soft filled pillow and headaches are now gone. So i wouldn't recommend them from my own experience.0
