  • Hurrah! My keg came. Delivered by UK mail. As I wasn't in (or in this case, up :D), went to my neighbours house. Quite nicely packed as well.

The keg looks great and also got 3 big bags of extra crunchy walkers crisps. Cheese and onion (although they use more fancy words), salt and vinegar and........ FLAMES GRILLED STEAK! Potentially the greatest flavour ever.

The keg itself comes with a serving tap.

I need help though, any idea how to make it cold? Fridge isn't big enough and not enough free space in the chest freezer. I was thinking leave it outside overnight, but don't think its cold enough.
Thought for the day: each generation of mankind tends to hug the illusion of having reached the culmination of human achievement. Yet, as we scoff at our groping ancestors, so our descendants will surely scoff at us.

Got a big bucket? Buy a bag of ice and fill it with water and the ice. It'll only need 3-4 hours to chill then.
I can't stress how much they need to be chilled though. Try and use them when they are not ice cold and your first few pints will be all head.

There's also this trick, but now sure how well it would work with the keg...

Thats epic. Next time I get some bottles I'll try this.

I managed to fit it in the fridge after moving everything to the top shelf removing the middle shelf.
