Bonus and other employees

Hello,

I have been working in the same place since I left school, I got the job through a Apprenticeship which was in July 2004, however for a year i was just on there books, then my employee took me on giving me "Training Allowance" this was up until June this year, and going onto Minimum wage when I finished my course,

However with it being xmas I have been speaking to some one else that works here and they asked whether I am getting a bonus so i emailed my boss asking this, he said that he does not know anything of this however speak too the "Supervisor" he may know more about this, Is there a anything I am able to have on my side knowing that there are other people in the company getting a bonus?

Hope some one can help me and understand what I mean.

It is difficult to answer this without seeing your employment contract and that of your colleagues. Often employers have a "qualifying term" for bonuses ie you must've worked there for 12 months or something like this. If is difficult to say how they will treat the part of the year when you were still training. You are doing the right thing talking to your supervisor...you don't ask you don't get!

Thanks for the reply!I will just have to see what comes off what he says, Its just the thing of am doing exactly the same sort of work as every body else and have been for a long time really,

well hopefully hes in a good xmas mood
