Non traditional best man gifts

My OH has two best men (don't ask!) and we'd like to get them a special something to say thanks on the day. I don't think they'd appreciate the usual tankard, cufflink type gifts, I've budgeted £50 each but would be prepared to go up a bit for the right gift. I just wonder whether any of you lovely people have any ideas, they're both lighthearted easy going people, not terribly materialistic, both like good food and drink but I'd like to get them something longer lasting! I know it's a long shot, I guess I'll just know the right thing when I see it!

It depends on the guys I suppose - If they're not into cufflinks, tankards, etc, then jewellery might not be up their alley either.
If you dont fancy getting them an experience Amy, as it's not long lasting (if you dont count memories and photos) then how about a membership of some sort (beer of the month? like this sort of thing http://www.beerhere.co.uk/acatalog/Beer_Club_Membership.html)
or a hipflask, or something for the kitchen if they cook?!!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Thanks guys, lots of good ideas, hadn't thought about the experience, I might have a look at red letter day type websites to get a few ideas, making memories is never a bad gify idea! My OH wants to get em both the same gift otherwise beer is good for one of them, maybe a case of wine for the other though, I'm trying to get OH to come up with some ideas but with two months to go apparently we have 'ages'!0

it is likely not to help you because i doubt you live near me, but our best man is h2b's dad and he's always loved our local footy team. They've not had a pitch/stadium whatever they're called for a few years and they're now building one and doing this sponsor a brick thing. So we're buying him a brick!
Sponsoring something could be an option?saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.

have you looked on gettingpersonalised ? they have some nice unusual bits. We were thinking about getting football magazine covers in frame for the corresponding team and their name added to the tshirt they have on there.

We had a similar problem with my 2 sons.....we bought them a ted Baker leather wallet each (something they will use every day) and put a £20 note into each (so they could buy their mum & her new husband a drink!)....they have a good selection of nice designer ones in John Lewis.0

In the end I went for an engraved Car Tax Disc holder. If he didn't like it as a keepsake, he could always use it!0
