12 months worth of paperwork?

Am sitting trying to fill in my BR forms at this moment and have just read that I should have 12 months worth of Statements. Is it going to cause me problems not having them?
Don't think I have any paperwork for some of my debts as I have been avoiding any contact with people chasing for money for quite a few years now and have also moved several times in that period also.

I'd been running from the debt too - I'd moved severals times (although not because of the debt) and just thought it was easier to ignore them and not pass on my new details.
When it came to filling for my DRO I needed the have up to date balances and statements too, it took me abut 2 weeks to remember who I owed money to, finding out how to contact them, getting statements posted out (this obviously meant giving them up to date details and they started their letters again, but soon stopped after DRO granted).
As far as DRO are concerned (I'm sure BR will be the same, someone can correct me if wrong) if a creditor is not on the DRO they can still chase you for the outstanding monies owed. You must make sure you list everyone and everything. It's scary looking into DRO/BR but it's worth it in the end - Nothing to worry about. If it wasn't for the mistakes I made in the past (and learned from), I wouldn't be who and where I am today. It doesn't matter if you've cocked up, what matters is that you put it right and apologise. x0 -

No. If the OR should need missing statements or other details, then they will obtain them direct from the lender.thepurplegoldfish wrote: »As far as DRO are concerned (I'm sure BR will be the same, someone can correct me if wrong) if a creditor is not on the DRO they can still chase you for the outstanding monies owed.
You are wrong I'm afraid.
Unlike a DRO, bankruptcy covers all non excluded debts and liabilities that exist at the time of the bankruptcy, whether they are listed on the petition or not.
You should list everything you are aware of, as you are swearing to the court that the the list of debts is complete to the best of your knowledge.
However, if there is one left off because you genuinely forgot about it, then it is still covered. If it pops up after the BR you just tell the OR.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Beat me to it Fermi. Was also going to say that obtaining Statutory Credit Reports from all three agencies can help piece together the information. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Thanks for the info. I am fairly sure I can remember the companies I had the debts with althou they have been passed round countless debt collection companies since then.
Finding the forms a nightmare to fill in thou i'm useless at paperwork are they at all helpfull at the court if there is a simple error on filling in the paperwork or am i gonna end up having to do the whole thing again.
I'm not trying to mislead them at all am filling it in as best I can with as much info as I have.

If you're finding it difficult to know what to put on the forms then you can either ask on here or ring up the BR Court Clerk, they are usually very helpful and it's in their interest as well as yours that you get things right before attending on the day.
It's best if you can get up to date information on who owns the debt now, especially if they've been sold on several times. If time is tight then you could always sign up for the free online trials with the credit agencies, just don't forget to cancel it again before you get charged, usually 30 days. When I joined, I needed a name.
