i'm having purple again this year.my lounge is cream and purple. and i've had purple last couple of years so i think i will still with this colour option as i love it.

dining room will prob have a blue theme. unless i manage to find some nice purple material to make a new table cloth. and then i'll do a purple theme in there.

we changed all our xmas lights last yr to the super brite blue led one's. they are stunning. think bought abotu 6 boxes of 100 or 200. so have plenty of blue lights ,lol.

It's still too early for us to think about xmas! Only just had my son's 2nd birthday so haven't got a clue what to get him for xmas. Then we've got my husbands birthday and an anniversary before i'll start thinking about trees and presents! :)

  • For the first time ever, I have had an artificial tree in the lounge. Miss the smell, but not the mess

You could buy a pine scented sachet from Yankee Candle or something. I always slip a Cinammon one into the middle of our tree. :) Beautiful tree btw.

wow ur tree is so pretty.

i've put up another tree today in our dining room this time. i was going to buy a real one, but i managed to get a nice 6ft fake one for £5 locally. couldn't refuse really. it decorated in red an gold. which i've not used this colour option for over 5 yrs. but seeing as all the pressies from santa are wrapped in red paper, it will look fab, xmas morning.

I've had an artificial tree for a few years now and think I've solved the problem about missing the smell of a real tree. I've been out today and collected a whole load of evergreen tree sprigs/branches, which I'm going to turn into a garland tomorrow. I'm pretty sure that if I decorate the garland with pine cones it's going to smell like I've got a real tree.

Here are our mini Christmas trees this year, they are nearly 6 years old, I didn't think they had grown much but compared to last year they are massive! (the biggest one is a whole 10 inches tall!!!)
