It may seem like the perfect job. But believe me its not when your trying to get a 6ft -20 ft tree up stairs and trying to get it secured in a pot without it falling on your head.

Also everything has to be wired on so it don’t get stolen and don’t fall off and after doing 40-100 trees my body is so drained I sleep most of Christmas and then I have to take it all down again.

I hire a cleaner now to clean all the needles etc so we can get out as quickly as poss.

Don’t get me wrong I love looking up at the trees when there finished looking great.

but its really hard work.

I totally agree with you I use to do it for a hotel chain ,It was one of the best paid but worst job's I ever did .

Dont know about your contract but mine all wanted the tree's and dec's up on the same weekend think I worked 18 hr day's(like I do now as mum to my little boy with no pay hence why I am awake at such an unearthly hour) .

I kept having to go back and replace things (at extra cost to them) that kept getting nicked which amazed me from such posh venues

i agree,then decor around the mirror is stunning,i love it.I would have something like that up all year round its truely beautiful:T

Awww, thanks so much... !!! As you can imagine it's not easy getting it or keeping it that way but while I've no kids my home is my life and my pride and joy, sad really... BUT thanks everyone for the lovely comments they mean a lot!

Ooohh... can't wait to see your black one!!! I debated so much about getting a black and everyone keeps telling me I should have one and where to get them from

Everyones tree's do look gorgeous each for thier own different reasons...

I have now shown my BF and got the usual responce of "yeah nice" but if he came home from work and saw me sitting at the kitchen table with a million pounds spread out over it i think the most i would get would be "yeah great" but seriously its beautiful.... everyones houses look gorgeous!!!

Would you believe bf and I made it???!!!

Copied a design I saw in a house shop near where we live, thier price was £200 for one very similar but smaller...

3 pieces of mirror cost me £35,
the brushed steel was a splashback I had cut to the sizes I needed off ebay about £28 including postage,
special mirror adheive £8 off ebay and
1 piece of MDF £8 from B&Q oh and the fixing plates for the wall £4 from B&Q

Total cost £83 and it was made to measure! :T

You can tell we made it, if you look right at the top right hand corner, my measurements were a few mm out on each piece and it adds up to about 1cm out at the top where the steel isn't quite long enough
