i would recommned to save an extra £60-£80 and get this or something alike:

The £100 system is probably pants. Its like paying £400 for a plasma by a wierd make...it might work, but is it any good?

  • but that package is for a lower power 10" sub, without wire kit and box. how can that be a better deal?!

Zeuz i believe is a new make, based in the US. Ive got the amp in my boot and i would rate it better than my mates standard xplode amp for double the price.

  • All cheap rubbish on the whole, looks good value for money but the performance will be dire. 450 watts mean nothing, its the RMS figure you should be looking at. As none mention the RMS rating you can bet your life they are poor. You get what you pay for generally, car audio is no exception.
  • the sony xplodes are made using practically the same stuff, are they cheap rubbish?!

The power of large companies can make u believe their products are better and it's not always the case they are. The also try to trick you into thinking it's high power, by printing higher RMS values in over 4 ohms.

names do not always mean quality.
  • it all comes from the same place in the far East.

I hadn't really heard of Zeuz before, although my friend got a Diamond series 12" from another company selling Zeuz and you can't knock it.

People saying 'named brands are better' clearly don't know what their talking about when it comes to electronics. Yes, obviously there will be drawbacks in some products but thats the same for whatever company making the products. In terms of a speaker, the main aspects of performance are magnet weight and RMS power. There is no electronics to 'cut back' on in a speaker.

Anyone can randomly spurt out ridiculous RMS figures. Look at ebay, there are loadsa KW-Subs and amps churning outcrazy RMSs....

Either way, i believe in 95% of the time, you get what you pay for.

£99 is good for bassy ICE.....but i wouldbnt buy it. Also, it not just the size of magnet and RMS that is crucial. The material used to make the cone is importnat also for example.

If you want good advice, go to https://www.talkaudio.com, i will bet 99% of the peeps will say the deal is pants and better off saving your money.

Yes, Sony Xplod stuff is regarded as rubbish within the car audio community. Take a look at https://www.talkaudio.co.uk and you will see its an absolute joke. For the money spent on Sony you could obliterate it with the likes of JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate, Alpine, Phoenix Gold... the list goes on.

That £99 is fine if you want a kit you can install in 20 minutes and have a bit of bass, but for a serious and half decent system, don't even bother.

Yes they are, i have owned sony explode gear and can say it is generally pants. Its ok for a cheap budget install and sound quality isnt to bad but i have to agree with ADAMZETEC you get what you pay for.
Watch out, you never know who is about.
