Does anyone know how long it takes job ads to appear on the website once placed? Have googled but cannot seem to see and it is not in any sort of FAQ thing as far as I can see....:o

I don't know which side of the table you are asking this question from, but I don't think they ever take jobs off - at least not IME - so employers continue to get enquiries MONTHS after the closing date.emsywoo123 wrote: »for anyone else that needs to know, apparently there is some massive backlog, and it is taking 2-3 days.......Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
The labour market system works as follows:I don't know which side of the table you are asking this question from, but I don't think they ever take jobs off - at least not IME - so employers continue to get enquiries MONTHS after the closing date.
* All jobs remain on there for 12 months
* Jobs are viewable until the closing date (if they have one)
* Jobs can be closed early/pulled where they no longer become viewable
It has the problem of being filled with the same jobs from the same employers - likely to be agencies or job positions that do not actually exist.0 -
I think it depends on whether you are posting a one-off or if you are registered with them as an employer and use it regularly. When we just did one-offs it would take a day or two sometimes. Now we are registered with them it's usually only an hour or two.
It can be quite hard to find your job though if the settings aren't perfect or if there is a glitch in the system (which has happened to us a few times). Best to go back in to 'job management' side and see if it is live there and then pick up the job reference number. Search for that to make sure it is live on the system. Then try doing a few keyword/area searches - sometimes jobs don't register properly and can't be found by the route jobseekers would go through. If that is the case, call the contact centre or your local job centre, explain the problem, and they will sort it out.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j
