thanks I've ordered, I normally buy boots 200 spray version as it's cheaper than beconase, but even that is £6.32 at the moment,so this is a really good saving

And I have several unused bottle of it in my medicine cupboard.

However, I have been suffering from a very sore and really runny nose. for a long time. My GP, two weeks ago, put this down to long term use of Beconase and Beclomethasone.

I stopped using this product immediately and have now recovered. For the first time for may months, I have no nose problem beyond the normal hay fever for which my GP has prescribed an alternative spray.

The Amazon one has now gone up in price, but still good, at £2.99 for 100 doses.

Whereas the Chemist Direct offer is £2.99 for 200 SPRAYS, not doses. The directions state 2 sprays into each nostril, so that is 4 sprays per dose which equates to only 50 doses.

I might be reading the above wrongly but this looks to make the Amazon offer way better.

Thanks so much OP, missed this post first time round.

Just ordered 2 as i'm on my last one. I get congestion ear ache in the summer and it works a treat at clearing it up.

Once I had terrible earache for 6 weeks- no kidding. Had them syringed, a weeks anti-biotics and it was Beconase that finally got rid of it!!

A spray and a dose are the same aren't they?

Not necessarily no. I've found that over the years when I've had different hayfever nasal sprays, some are one spray in each nostril, some are 2 sprays in each nostril.

A dose should cover 'however many' sprays PER NOSTRIL. So that could be either 2 sprays (if the dose is one spray per nostril) or 4 sprays (if it is two sprays per nostril).

So 200 sprays breaks down into just 50 doses - apologies I got my number wrong in my previous post, I had based it on 100 not 200 sprays!

So as I read it, £2.99 for 100 doses is better value than £2.99 for 200 sprays (which = just 50 doses).

Have checked and this one says 100 doses in the blurb but on the box itself says 100 sprays.

Thanks for that - if that is the case I will be returning it then when it arrives! Not best pleased as it was only the dosage claim that made me buy that particular one

In the title the Amazon one says 100 doses, but when you look at the picture of the box it says "100 sprays" on the box, so maybe the title is wrong?
