Blisters

I walked the BRMB Walkathon yesterday.
I'm pretty sore today and my feet are covered in blisters - some pretty bad ones.
Anyone know how to treat blisters, or if i can ease any pain.
Apparently popping them are a big don't.
Thanks

this might sound weird, but it's a trick my OH picked up in the army and works a treat.
Get a needle and thread, and carefully thread the cotton through the blister leaving about an inch of cotton at each end. Put a pair of socks on. Leave for 12 hours, and you'll find that the pus has drained down the cotton and the skin has sucked back and almost rejoined. Pull the cotton out carefully.
I did it overnight recently and woke up to no blisters at all.0 -
Compeed blister plasters - sold at most chemists or supermarkets - are an absolute godsend.
Follow the directions, leave on until they start to fall off (even in the bath or shower) and your feet will recover.0 -

Scholl do gel blister plasters. Got a couple of samples with some recent purchases but not needed to try them yet! From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0

The best advice is to leave them alone if you can bear it, and let them get as much air as possible. Get your flip flops out! The fluid in the blister is protecting the damaged skin, so it's better to leave it in there.
If there are any that are too sore to leave, then use a sterilised needle and place it parallel to your skin, so that it goes into the side of the blister to pop it. Don't pop the top as you'll stab the sore skin underneath!Shrinking my mortgage!

Yes, large, medium and small ones for toes. We regularly go for 8-10 mile walks at weekends, and many a hike has been saved from an early end by these little beauties!0
