Golf Society - Away Weekend Suggestions

Hi everyone.

My golf society has just returned from a very successful weekend from the Radisson Roe in Limavady.

I am the captain next year and therefore have to come up with next years venue.

Would anyone have any suggestions for us? We are a fairly large (30+) mixed society (of both age and sex). We would prefer to stay in NI as nobody knows what the € will be like and the fluctuations will affect the price.

This years price was £169 for 2 nights B&B and one evening meal with unlimited golf. I would like something similar for next year. There will be several non players so alternative activities (ie spa/pool) would be beneficial.

If all else fail I would definitely go back to the Radisson but I know some of the members would like to try somewhere new!!

a really lovely course is Cairndhu golf club outside Larne where you have wonderful views across the coast and sea. My father played there for 46 years before he died and your party could stay in the Ballygally Castle Hotel a mile or two down the road. excellent food owned by Hastings hotel group. for non golfers you have Carnfunock Country Park and great drives and walks along the coast.

Slieve Russell in Cavan is a great location, nice pool, spa, fitness centre and also a fab golf course. May be a bit expensive but they do have some special offers at times.

The Waterfoot Hotel in Stroke City do golf packages with City of Derry Golf course and Foyle Golf course, but the courses are obviously not on site with the hotel.

I would give the Manor House Hotel near Enniskillen a call, they have a course at the Hotel and a lovely spa and swimming pool at the hotel too, I'm sure they would do a good package for 30+ people at a reasonable rate.
