Please help me as I work long hours and don't have time to visit the Citizens advice bureau.

My father divorced over a year ago and temporarily lived at my house for a few months.Whilst living here he took out a loan with Alliance and Leicester now known as Santander. As he didn't have an active bank account I set up the direct debit repayments for the loan on my bank account.Problem is he recently moved to spain and never paid the loan off.He has also stopped putting the money in my account.I've checked with Experian and there is no relationship with A & L (Santander) on my credit report.I know that the loan has 2 years left however I'm contemplating on cancelling the direct debit.I've tried speaking to Santander and get absolutley no joy.

Please help!

Cancel the DD - there will be hassle but it is not your debt. Give Santander/the debt collectors his last known address in Spain and wish them luck.
