Not much of a grabbit but i've been looking into buying my 16-month little girl her first baby born doll.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004J33EFW/ref=pd_luc_mri?ie=UTF8&m=A1J34R86EE8AF7
this was my first choice from argos My Little Baby Born Doll
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3832725.htm
but the one they had instore was the bathable one. and we're at the stage of looking to start potty training so the first one might be a useful tool as it has a potty and other accessories.
what do you, mums, think, are they worth it?
i already bought this one when it was on offer for £10.98 for my friend's daughter turning 3 at the end of this month. Baby Born Mummy Pick Me Up
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003QF39OU/ref=oss_product
hope it's useful to someone x

At 16 months I think you should go for the 'my little' version. Baby born are too big and heavy for them to play with at that age, my daughter is almost 4 but the size of an average 2-3 year old she still looks like she struggles picking up baby born dolls they are so rigid and awkward for them when they are little I think they are a waste of money for any toddler and much better suited to older girls. They also don't sit on those pottys easily for people with little hands. Baby annabell dolls are soft bodied and much easier for my daughter to play with.
If you are interested in potty training ideas we found these little dolls ideal http://www.elc.co.uk/Cup-Cake-Baby-Drink-and-Wet/125171,default,pd.html I have seen similar versions in other stores. And this book is lovely http://www.amazon.co.uk/Princess-Pollys-Potty-Ladybird/dp/1409302199/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1304929565&sr=1-2
Or you could get something like this set to go with little baby born http://www.elc.co.uk/Cup-Cake-Baby-Care-Set/125177,default,pd.html toys r us sell similar sets too.
Also coming up to xmas you'll see all the popular big dolls chou chou, annabell, BB all at great prices, so don't feel pushed now by the offers. HTH x0 -
