Does anyone have any recommendations - they seem to get very mixed reviews and I don't want a dud as I am making a gift of it. It is NOT for an iPod, which seems o discount half of them straight away. Also, now they are legal are there any high street shops selling them as I would rather buy in a shop (I normally don't mind shopping on the internet, but if I am expecting it to be duff I would rather be able to go into a shop with itfor a refund!)

I can't recommend a particular one but make sure it has the CE mark, or it will be illegal.

Thanks, that's an interesting page - I thought they were already legal for a start! I think I will wait until the 8th when they will probably start to appear in the shops.

I used to use one with my iPod, but for £15 I got a cable that converted the auxillary input in my car stereo to phono and I haven't used the itrip since. It was a nice stopgap measure, but if it's intended to be used in a car they're too unreliable, as the FM band in the UK is slammed full already, and (certainly in London) any spare gaps are filled with pirate broadcasts anyway.
Also, a cable - no interference!Student Loan Company Ltd: 17,805 (2.8%) Overdraft: 500 (Interest free)
