Aldi have organic seeds in just now as one of their weekly specials. Otherwise I tend to buy them in Holland and Barrett when they have one of their offers on - the last one was buy one, get one for 1p. I freeze mine to keep them fresh. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Thanks Jackie - I will pop into Aldi this afternoon then... all I need now is a bigger freezer!Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. Julian Graves is cheap for that kind of thing.
Thanks for reminding me, I was planning to go there today and had forgotten!0 -
I am lucky, my local market has a stall that sells all nuts, seeds, various rice - loads of things - most of which you can buy as little or as much of as you want. It is cheaper than any of the supermarkets and because you can buy as much as you want it is brilliant. I buy things like whole unsalted cashews and large raisins and try and only buy enough for the month and then stock up again the next month. I find that these sort of items do not always keep well - nuts can go off and raisins become dried out. I do use a lot of nuts and seeds etc as I put them in my salads, stir fries, on my cereal and just snack on them.
I used to sometimes buy from Julian Graves but found them more expensive than the market - now the Julian Graves has closed downThe world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -

I buy a lot of dried fruit and nuts from the Asian grocery store, they're much cheaper than Julian Graves and have a nicer selection. They sell bags from 100g to 10kg, I haven't really looked for seeds but they definitely have sesame seeds.I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly

Look out for local wholefood type places as well as chains like Holland & Barrett. We've got one nearby that sells lots of nuts and seeds in big bags so they're way cheaper than the little packets at the supermarkets. They're also amazing for getting spices cheaply. Same with Indian/Chinese shops.0

Julian Graves is great (if you are a WI member you get a 10% discount too). Also, try looking in your local Indian/Chinese supermarket, they often have really good value things like nuts, seeds, herbs & spices - stuff that's seen as a bit "specialist" in normal supermarkets0

another vote for Asian or Chinese grocers/supermarkets
and another for a health/whole food store, my local one will order larger quantities of some items & it works out a lot cheaper than the little packs that are usually on offer
also Costco is worth a look if you have access to one0 -
as this has dropped down the OS board, i've moved it to the shopping and groceries board to see if our savvy shoppers have some more input for you
