Help - Problem with remortgage in Scotland

Need some urgent advice please!
I'm in the process of buying out my husband and while arranging the re-mortgage my solicitor has found out that there are still three outstanding Discharges for Standard Securities on the property from the previous owner. (Our original solicitor has gone bust and vanished with his files)
2 of the Discharges are hopefully being fixed however we are having major problems with the last one. I have asked solicitor what is the next option and she doesnt know!!!
Extremely stressed as cannot remortgage/sell or anything until this is fixed!

I'm not sure what advice you need as you do not ask, but suffice to say your current Lawyer is advising you so it seems you already have the advice you need? No?0

Hi no I dont have the advice I need, if the creditor cannot find the information relating to the final Discharge they simply wont sign it - so what else can I do - and as I said my lawyer's answer is that she doesnt know!0

Asking questions to help the thread along, I have no expert level knowledge:
Are you saying the final Discharge for Standard Securities relates to the previous owner before your husband??
Do you know who the creditor is for the final Discharge for Standard Securities?
Can you increase efforts to track down the missing solicitor, e.g. hire a private detective?
