I really really hate the new fraps :-(. I was so excited to have my first one of the season in the spell of hot weather and was gutted when I tasted it.
There has been quite a fuss about it on their FB page!
Guess it's hot drinks for me all summer!

Got the Tall Coffee Frappuccino with an extra shot and whipped cream for just £1.37 (!) by using my Starbucks card this afternoon. Was divine. Love this new promo, shame it's just on for 10 days..

How do they differ from the old ones? I thought the thing was you could mix it up and have different flavours and soy instead of normal milk but have they changed the basic recipe for the normal frap options?

I don't know what the difference is but my kids usually lap them up (strawberries and cream ones) but this year they have been binned pretty quickly. They tend to sperate really fast as well unless that's just me. Not that I'm complaining as a large frap between them when I had a coffee was costing me a fortune. Then again it could be 3 smoothies instead which is even worse. Now I sound like a terrible mother making three of them sit with a straw each and one drink

before we used to mix ready made bases, for creme, milk and a powder, coffee and coffee light, a ground coffee and water and then a frapp base

then we just aded the ice and flavour when we made it, but now we measure milk each time we make one, and have to add pumps of this new frapp syrup stuff...

they come out really watery and icy now, not creamy like before. Weve had loads of complaints theyre not as good!

Starbucks have sent me vouchers as I called them and told them I felt cheated out of my money but it still means I'm frapp less this summer.
They sent me a letter waffling on about people wanting more choice and fresh healthy ingredients but who wants to drink pond water, healthy or not????
Think costa might have a few more customers this summer - and I hate costa with a passion, booo Starbucks, bad move!!!

Interesting to read that other people have noticed a change in the frapps, so have I! I used to drink them almost religiously but I've hardly bought any recently because I've had a few unimpressive ones. I thought it was just my tastebuds changing though!

I got my frapp yesterday, a yummy Mocha one (£3.20) and a slice raspberry and coconut loaf (£1.80) total price I paid was £2.50. Looks like they put the frap and loaf through then halved the lot. A great result considering I drink Mocha frapps quite often anyway :)

Edit: meant to say, this was in Dundee Overgate.

just wanted to add that if you are into customising frappuccinos (adding syrups/soya milk/extra shots) the happy hour promotion halves the cost of the drink with all the extras included but then takes the full price of the extras off if you pay using a registered starbucks card so you actually save more then half price.

it makes it extra bargainous.i did this friday and today and the same thing happened both times.today i got a venti extra coffee caramel light frappuccino made with soya milk with sugar free vanilla syrup for all of £1.61 :).and yes my order is ridiculously long but if they hadn't changed the fraps it wouldn't need to be...
