  • I dont think you will be able to grow this in time. However this is a super cheap flower that looks excellent! Find your nearest flower market or wholesale seller and buy a huge lot of it there a few days before the wedding.
  • Hello - just want to ask whether any of you noticed the smell of gyp? I've been told by florists that it smell's of cat wee and that they would not reccommend it. Did anyone have any problems or is there a way that this smell can be eradicated? Any advice would be helpful as I really really like the look of gyp. Thanks

    Hi Anojka,

I didn't go for the gyp in the end, ehded up with candelabras. I would suggest that to buy some and try it. I had some gyp, but can't say I noticed a smell to it (but then maybe in the big quantities it might).

Good luck, my wedding is all been and gone now :(

Wild flowers will wilt fairly quickly so may not really be an option as they will need to be picked and displayed almost instantly

The stuff you see on the side of the road is a type of wild flower/weed sorry the name escapes me at th moment...big white heads...wouldnt really suggest this it has very little smell and sometimes can have an unpleasent smell if in large quantities....the other thing you could be seeing is wild garlic thats a little prettier but again the smell will put you off I think!

I think you're thinking of cow parsley! :D

It smells more cheesy than piddly! (In my experience anyway!)
