Woolworths had vivitar cameras on offer for under £50. I'd not heard of the make before, but actually used one today at school and it was pretty simple to use.0

This is pretty good value for a 5 mega pixel and there are cheaper 3 mega pixel cameras on the same site.

Has anybody ever used the Vivitar Camera's?
Are they any good?0 -
You need to look for a camera that has an optical zoom not just a digital one.

For a 9 years old you just want something simple to use. I have not found any under £50 apart from point and shoot.
I have found a funky pink one.FUNKY PINK at Amazon for £37.27 in stock. They do it in silver too.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

They are very good for the price and probably the most well known make of the "cheaper" brands.0 -
Do the pink Amazon cameras shown have a viewing screen on the back? Sorry if a stupid question! Also how would they "plug" into my computer? Ive got a very old digital camera that has a docking thingy to sit in that is very easy to use.
Thanks!0 -
