Shock horror! I hear the Pen Shop has closed , it was at the back of Boots.
I loved that place and relied upon it to buy cartridges for a few vintage pens.
Does anyone know if the small franchise in House of Fraser is still going?

OH NO, N.Ireland has no pens...I hate pencils, you always have to sharpen those darn things and if you drop them the lead shatters.

We need pens.....and voting day is over. If only the politicians had known this.

Tell you a story, local politician came to our estate and asked me where the front of the houses were....I told him you're a bit of a stranger then LOL

I used to go there but found several sellers on amazon doing great deals on pens and cartridges. Think amazon itself sells some too.

Didn't the upstairs bit of easons do fancy pens at one point?! Seem to recall buying a Cross fountain pen there but it was a million years ago!

There is a guy who reads the ni craft fairs thread, who makes posh pens and could probably tell you best place to get cartridges etc.

He dosen't post but he does read the posts - If you are brave enough to go on there you could leave a message he will no doubt read!

Amazon or ebay would be my suggestions for best value though!

Rather than put cartridges in, I have got converters for my fountain pens (all vintage) so that they can be used old-style, with a bottle of ink, and find that they work well. You might be able to do this - as above, I'd suggest a search on Amazon or Ebay for them. Bottled ink is still available - I get mine at Easons
