Raw milk in West Oxfordshire???

Hi, I don't know if this is in the right place.......but anyhooo, I've been looking into the health benefits of unpasteurised, non-homogenised milk and would like to try some. The couple places I found online seem pretty expensive (to factor in chilled delivery i guess) and you have to order quite a bit in one go, so I was wondering if anyone on here knows of farms in NW Oxfordshire or nearby that sell directly to the public.....???
TIA!
TIA!

Out of interest what are the benefits?
I was brought up on the stuff and we used to sell it to the public in Gloucestershire 20 years ago. I doubt they still sell it unpasteurised now though.
Actually looks like I may be wrong - just looked at the farm website and they say that they do sell non-homogenised milk, it is about 40-50 miles from Oxford, let me know if you would like the details.0 -
Non homogenised is NOt the same as un pasteurised.
To be honest these days you might struggle to find somebody to supply you with un pastuerised milk.
Most businesses would not take the risk of supplying it.
If it made you ill you would claim off them.........not worth it.
Shame but true......0 -
lemoncurd, here's one article that gives a few answers (though there are many more - just google 'raw milk' or 'real milk' and you'll find loads!) http://www.seedsofhealth.co.uk/articles/case_for_untreated_milk.shtml
homogenisation breaks up the fat so that it is evenly spread throughout the milk - more of an aesthetic than for any health benefit......no more cream at the top basically.
If you could message me the farm details that would be great. Thanks!:heart2::heart2:On ne voit bien qu'avec le coeur :heart2::heart2:we're debt freeeeeeeeeeeee....FREEEEDOM!!! :j:T0 -
