Can anyone help with a recommendation for a paper shredder? I'm supposed to be buying one as part of my FILs christmas present, he really wants one apparently :rolleyes:! I always burn my bank stuff so I'm not sure what's good & what's not. It's got to be easy to use & fairly robust as he's not very good with machines... I also need to be able to order it online so I can have it sent straight to him. Argos seem to have some good reductions at the moment, but I'm not sure if the machines are any good. Max £25/30 unless something outstanding.

I started a thread a couple of months ago I think it was. In the end I bought a cross cut shredder (one that chops it into tiny pieces not long strings) and it also has a credit card shredding facility. I bought it instore from WH smith for under £20 but i am sure you can get similar ones. Nothing much to go wrong on it really unless you try to put too much in at once. Now anything with name and address on goes in it

Thanks for those! I was in such a rush this morning I forgot to check for old threads. Going to whizz through them now & see what people think is best.

i bought a fab one last year from woolworths (following advice on here) for the grand sum of £9.99. It take 4 pages and cuts through staples.
