Names on Endownment

I took ot an endownment in 1999 with my then partner, we then spilt up about a year later and we went our seperate ways. If I remember rightly we signed something to say that the endownment was solely for me. However my ex partners name remained on the endownment. When I asked about this, I got a response along the lines of, that if I removed her name I would be due some tax (not entirely sure if that is exactly it from what I remember).

So the point of all this is, I am thinking of cashing in the endownment, is my my ex partners name still on the policy going to cause me probs???

No. As long as the assignment took place as you believe it did then its fine.
