Hi everyone

We are looking into getting a caracaturist for our wedding in June 2012, but they seem to be quite expensive! I have received a quote for £350 for 3 hours and was just wondering if this is the norm (if so, think I'm in the wrong job)?

Can anyone tell me how much they paid/are paying for one and how long they will be there?

Seems about average, I've had quotes from £225-295 for 2 hours! And that was trying to get late availability rates!

That sounds quite good to me- the only quote I have got so far is for £500 for 3 hours!! :eek: I am in Oxfordshire, not sure if that makes it dearer!

I am paying £375 for 3hours for my wedding this June!

Its a lovely idea i had one done of my daughter when she was about 3 for £1.50 it filled bigger than a4! If only i knew how to get in touch with that person i would have booked them. No idea who they were it was just a local craft fair in Bampton about ten years ago. I would have loved to have had one at my wedding. When i looked them up on-line they were well out of my budget. I think you have been quoted an average price flackety

Thanks everyone for your replies, so it seems £350 is about right. Tiara, I'm in Yorkshire so probably a bit cheaper here!

Hmmmm, definately need a change of career at those rates!

Well, I'm a professional cartoonist and I charge £75 an hour plus travel for wedding/party caricaturing... sounds like I need to up my prices!!

We will be booking a guy for next year and he has quote us £250 for four hours.
