North East deli?

I watched Two Greedy Italians tonight and was very envious of the deli they visited, the only place I can get "continental" cooked meat is pre-packed at the supermarket.
Does anyone know of a proper deli in the north-east that sells a variety of meats and cheeses?

If I remember rightly(from my uni days) there's a little deli that has a good selection just off front street,in Tynemouth.
It's just off the side of the street where the Cumberland Arms is on one of the side streets.0 -
Fenwicks on Northumberland Street has a great selection in their food hall - not as good as years ago (IMHO), but still a massive choice.
