question about LE muslin cloths

Just wondering how long do they last? how often do you replace yours and is there a way of knowing whether the quality of it changes over use.

i use and wash by hand for few days and then put in washing machine with rest of wash. however, it doesn't really look as gleaming white as it used to!

Hmm, I just wash it when I think it needs to be, but you can buy cheaper ones in Tesco/Asda too

I have about 20, some quite old. They get nice & soft the more they are washed. In winter I wear a mineral make up and they do get a bit manky. I just soak them overnight in Ariel and put on a hot wash when I am doing towels and they come up nice & white.

Stick them in a saucepan of water with some soap powder and boil them for a good 30 mins.

I tend to put them in with the really hot towels wash and they tend to come out cleaner then, and I always use Napisan powder too for extra whiteness!

A while ago I bought some baby muslin cloths from Boots which are huge!, I plan to cut them up and put a hem on them so will have loads to use - one full size cloth cuts up into loads of smaller ones!

The LE ones do get really soft after a while, so not sure if they have the same exfoliating qualities then, will see what happens with the baby ones!

Hmm I was wondering this too just the other day. I have some which must be 2 years old  I happened to find a brand new one the other day and used it and I must say it was "rougher" so I guess better for exfoliating which is kind of the point. Now I'm wondering whether I need to have clear out of all old LE cloths!

I am a bit embarressed to say this but I have some LE muslin cloths that are 11 years old!
I change them every two days and wash them in my normal white wash. They may not be as white as they used to be but they still exfoliate!
    Crawls away....:o
