I bought one from the woolworth web site this morning.

The web site page stated delivery between 5 and 21 days. On check out it saidunknown. However on the email reciept the delivery date I have been given is the 15th of December so in good time for Christmas.

You can always cancel your online order before delivery if you find one elsewhere.

I think you might find that Nintendo have been VERY clever with this release. They have just one shot at the market before the PS3 comes out and Christmas is that one shot. They have deliberately "suggested" that limited stocks will be available to boost interest and get the preorders in but I think you will find there will be plenty available once they hit the shops .. If I am wrong then Nintendo have messed up big time and will have missed a big opportunity.
  • John Lewis will be retailing them this Friday morning as one of few places that offer it not through a pre-sale. Would expect some queues.
  • Thank you all!
  • Found a legitimate looking website this morning while looking on behalf of a friend. They were advertising the basic package (normally £179) for £299! No wonder they had 5 in stock - and I wouldn't advertise them here for selling it at that inflated price - unless people really want me to. Plus I don't know their reputation as an online retailer. (Formed in 2001 though they say.)
    This too, shall pass.

If you really want one take a trip to Paris/France. The launch here has been popular but nowhere near the panic seen in the UK.

https://www.scoregame.net shows the many shops where they are available for slightly less € than UK £ RRP.

It does advise you to ring first to check that they have got them.
