Advice on Jobseekers Allowence

I am currently unemployed due to relocating for my partners job. I am struggling to find employment & considering claiming job seekers allowance. Does it cause any repercussions later with regards to applying for credit cards, mortgages etc?
Any advice much appreciated!
Thanks in advance

I think it would only be an issue if you were applying for a credit card/ mortgage whilst still on JSA because they'd be taking your monthly income into account.0

I don't beleive it has any longterm effects.
Also be careful what you tell Jobcentre Plus as they will likely accuse you of being "voluntarily unemployed" so they will cap up to 6 months benefit (i.e. you would have to go down every 2 weeks to sign on while not receiving any money at all).0
