My first order has arrived damaged. I ordered 2 gift tins and both of them are quite badly dented. One of them was particularly bad and has scratches and pen marks on the lid! I can't give them as gifts as I'd intended in that state! I'm going to email a complaint to The Body Shop and see what they say. They hadn't even put any protective packaging in the box which surprised me!

I would suggest you ring them rather than email. I emailed a few weeks ago as the packaging on one of my gift cubes was damaged - they simply said to take it into the store to have it changed, which to me seems to defeat the object of mail order. Others have posted on here to say they rang regarding similar problems and they have been sent replacements in addition to keeping the original items, so it seems they are perhaps more generous when you speak to them rather than email. :)

    Thanks OP.
I needed some shampoo and conditoner which would have cost me £12 but now I have six items, including the £12 coconut body butter which I use anyway, for just £16!!
I wonder if anyone bothers buying their stuff instore as the online deals are brilliant.
Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

Pollyanna123 - Yes I have noticed that but I have health problems (which I'd rather not go into here) which make using the phone difficult. I can't return my products to a store either as I'd need to pay for a taxi and have someone accompany me and that would cost far more than the order!

Perhaps email back and explain that to them, our nearest store is 30 miles away so unless they're paying mileage and parking...
  • E- mail them they will let you keep the items and send out replacements free of charge.

Thanks guys. I have emailed them explaining that 2 products were damaged but that I'm really happy with the rest of my order and hopefully they will be nice to me!

Annoyingly my second order which included 5x shampoos has one leaked shampoo in it. Not much shampoo was wasted but I did have to wash everything in the order. I don't feel I can complain as they won't believe me!

My order arrived in a soggy mess as the lid had come off the shower gel. When I rang they were a bit snippy about it (it was a free item after all) but agreed to send me a replacement. I have to admit, I can't fault their Customer Services. How on earth is it worth their while to do these 'glitches'?
