looking to move - possible defaults

hey guys

im hoping to move house within the next year, however I am worried we'll be rejected for a new mortgage

when we first moved in together (2007) we took out a joint account to pay all household bills, but unfortunately my wages took longer to transfer than i thought and we were late on a mortgage payment (this was paid as soon as we realised)

we also weren't very MSE to begin with and ended up using unauthorised OD on various occassions (we got fined for this each time)

we've had no OD fines for bout 3 yrs now and no missed mortgage payments for 4........do the OD charges count as defaults?

are we totally screwed for getting a new mortgage?

thanks in advance,

a very worried GSD lover

Get a copy of your credit file from Experian, Equifax and Call Credit. That will tell you whether or not you have any defaults / late payments showing and anything to worry about.

How did you check you rating so quick? I want to mine and my OH's the other day but it said reports could either be posted or check online but a access code would have to be posted.
How do you get your instant result?

You should know whether you have defaults or not? Whether they are recorded anywhere is another thing!
