I was told about this forum by my friend so thought Id register & on my very first visit I've come across various posts slagging people off for whatever reason. Name-calling across the board seems to be a hobby so I thought I would post.

What gives you the right to insult littlewren a1cat? You may not like their post but to call them a haridan & sad old trout is plain bullying & Im sure Martin doesnt appreciate this on his forum. I would like to call you a few names for how you've bullied littlewren but I have much better manners than you & Im a nice person - unlike you - so will refrain.

Anyway, I have reported you a1cat, so dont be surprised if you receive an e-mail warning from Martin's team. Meanwhile Im not sure if I want to be part of a forum if it has bullies like you so I hope the other sections are friendlier. Im sure they will be if you dont post in them & I dont want to read your mind-numbingly boring posts anyway.

Just a bit of banter :D

Here's a bit of friendly advice: don't come on the Tesco threads if you don't like a bit of knockabout fun
OK I'll delete my posts but I can't see why anybody would take them as anything other than very mild comments.

You think that calling someone a haridan and sad old trout is 'knockabout fun' and are 'very mild comments?'

I feel for you, I really do, you are obviously not a very nice person and have to vent your spleen on a forum such as this, where no-one knows who you are.

Ladies i hate to butt in while you're fighting but can we go back to the M&s beetles.
Anyone who has bought them and decided they don't them, put them in a packet and send them my way, if the fish in my pond don't eat them the birds in the garden will.

There was nothing holier than thou about my post, I was simply pointing out what other people have also commented on and are fed up with. Your comment about me being rude, judgemental and petty is way over the top to say the least & couldn't be further from the truth.

I didn't say you were petty, rude etc - I said your POST came over sounding that way. which is completely different. This often happens when posting comments - without the benefit of body language to soften the tone of written comments, its all too easy to give the wrong impression and to sound terse when you don't mean to.

I also said that there might well be some truth in what you were saying and that you were probably a lovely sunny person in real life - which was hardly over the top as it was partly agreeing with you!

Anyway, can't see the point of arguing - it happens far too often on these threads and doesn't do anyone any good.

Well this thread is a little more interesting than when I last left it.

Presh... it seems strange that as a newbie your first posts would be to get involved in an argument. Hmmmmm. Not a good start really is it?

Littlewren. This site has board guides. My guess is they didn't move the thread as it's a grabbit, i.e. something that's not going to be available for long. The food shopping section is more for long term deals and money saving imo. Let the BGs do their jobs.

As for the beetles... I went to M&S with a packet of each type. I got a full refund for all and a replacement. Of course I didn't want the same item but apparently the new risotto is a completely different supplier (UK instead of Italian) so I accepted. I'll be going through it with a fine tooth comb, in fact, I don't know where the dried mushrooms came from (the beetles favourite - could tell by the perfectly round holes), so not sure I want to eat them. I still have a few packs for the Environmental Health Officer though haha.

What really peed me off is they have a 3 for 2 offer on 'Selected Italian' products. When I originally bought the risotto it didn't have the SEL saying 3 for 2. In fact all the rice products didn't. I ended up buying 3 separate Italian products thinking I'd get one of those free. Instead I got the 20p freakin bug riddin risottos free lol. Tried to argue with the assistant that Boots calculate it so you get the best deal, but M&S don't, so in future, on 3 for 2 deals put them through separately.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

In regards to the 3 for 2 this does happen in the home dept they do same as boots so works out best deal for you. And if you still have some of the packets send 1 of them back to retail customer services (contact 08453021234 address in chester), with a copy of your receipt to show you bought more and a letter, stating your disgust and your a veggie and you'll get a nice voucher in the post back
