dunno if the offer in this thread works but the way i got sky plus was i saw someone post an offer on the digital forums phone sky up and quote sky+49 and you get sky plus for 49 pounds and 60 pounds instalation i phoned up and said i got a leaflet telling me to quote sky plus 49 for the sky plus box plus 60 quid install the guy at sky said there was no such offer so i argued i had a leaflet with the quote on but he wasnt having any of it so i told him i wanted to cancel my current subscription so he went away and put his supervisor on who wanted to know why i was canceling so i explained the above and he said i could have the offer 3 days later i had sky plus but the great thing was i only paid 49 quid no instalation fee and no multiroom sub which they try and ram down ur throat0

On the sky website there is an email referral from. As far as I know you need to be on one of the premium packages but don't have to go for multiroom subs although they will try to push it.kelly212 wrote:won't they ask who my friend is? what exactly do you need to say?, surely they'll ask where i saw the promotion or something?

I have sky+ with sports package and no multiroom. The referral gives the existing sky subscriber either a sky+ box or £50 marks & spencer vouchers if they already have sky +. The new subscriber gets sky+ for the reduced rate of £49 so i guess it's a win win situation0 -

Its not win win as you have to pay, using the phone number above the new customer will get free sky+ and free instalation saving £110 on the current refer a friend deal , of course the person who refers them gets nothing0 -
just found out how it works officially on Sky website:
THIS IS WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR
If you know someone who'd love Sky TV, we'd like to say hello to them. If you introduce a friend to Sky TV by 18 December 2006 we'll thank you by giving you a Sky+ box and standard installation free* (worth £159).
If you've already got Sky+, we'll give you £50 of M&S vouchers instead.
And your friend can get Sky TV from just £15 a month and can also choose to get a Sky+ box for £49* (normally £99). *Standard installation for your friend £60
So there isnt really a deal because the friend still need to pay for £60 installation. I already have Sky and would like to desperately get Sky + so is there any way around this?0 -
