Welcome Finance

I have a Welcome Finance loan which is due to end in November this year.

They have been ringing every month for the last few trying to get me to settle early.

My balance is £284.00 and some pennies, but I forget. I have the cash to settle it right now, but I'm wondering if I should push to pay back £200-250.00 instead of what they are asking me for.

Its no skin off my nose to keep it running for a further few months, but they seem desperate to get me to clear it, which is bizarre with it being such a small amount.

Do you have any advice for me?

TIA
Ever feel like you take 2 steps forward and 8 back?

One day, I will be debt free!

They are winding up their business trying to recoup as much as possible.

I would definately tell them you're not interested as you don't have £284, you could manage £200, maybe £220 at the most and see if they bite.

I also say to you well done, you are one of only a handful of people who it seems, have managed to actually get a loan from Welcome and stick to your end of the bargain and pay it all off.

I hope if you need another loan, you get accepted by someone who doesn't charge silly interest. :money::beer:

Thanks doll, I suppose in my case there really is no harm in testing the waters and seeing what they say....

I would still like to hear from those of you who have had experiences like this with Welcome though :D

I've not been offered a reduced payment, they just keep calling me asking me if I can settle early. I'm going to ask them if they'll accept a smaller amount.

Nearly there for you :) Just think of what that £119.00 will do :)

i would go in lower than that under half of what you owe see what they say just make sure you have the funds just incase they say yes.

I would add, make sure you get any agreement with them in writing before sending the money.

And make sure the agreement in writing includes the term "In Full and Final Settlement" somewhere.
