street selling.

So, watching the royal wedding the other day, i was struck with one major thought.

Those flag sellers must make a fortune.

Now, considering we have a lot of `flaggy` events coming up-the Olympics, the Queens diamond jubille etc, id be interested in getting in on that-from a practical point of view, it cant be that hard to flog few flags.

However what are the legal requirements-would i be able to just arrive outside the Olympic stadium on the night of the opening ceremony? Or would i need some sort of license? What happens if you do try to sell without a license, and if you do need a license, where do you get it?

I don't know if it's down to your LA, but where I am in Devon you need a peddlars license which you get through the Police. A quick Google should give you more info.

I can imagine you would need a licence of soem sort, might be called a street vendor/seller,

i imagine you would get a fine for no licence

not sure where you get 1 from, maybe try authorities for london

    google is your friend

A peddlars licence from the police. I had one once but never used it. Very cheap, about £10. I think you have to keep moving though (not static) so you will need some kind of contraption with wheels to stroll and stop start.

you need a street traders licence from the local authority, but for things like the olympics you will need a licence from the event organiser
