Loans from private individuals - Still exist?

Hi all, I remember reading 2 or 3 years ago about a website where people could lend and borrow money from 3rd parties (usually individuals) at rates that were individual to both parties and thus avoid going to banks (with the rates and fees that they charge) Does such a site still exist as I cant find one when i search?

Your answers and pointers greatly appreciated.

While demanding for a callback from a Loan Broker, you might have already received the terms and Conditions. Those T&C's will let them to take an application fee. After getting your bank account number your money is just sent.
