Just like to bring some happy new's guys, I have been paying Red castle £5 a month for 6 months now owing them £344.50, when today I got a letter saying they will accept £137.50 as a full and final settlement, I phoned up and did some more persuasion and managed to get it down to £120 full and final

Good news, but a few words of warning.
Do you have this in writing? If you dont make sure that they are going to update your credti file as settled and that they wont sell the rest onto another DCA.
Personally sounds like either the debt couldent be enforced or that it might be SB in which case you probably wouldent have to have paid anything.
Did you actually look into the debt? What was it for had you paid anything to it in 6 years previously before you started paying Red Castle.
Think if they are willing to take such a low amount of the debt how much they really bought it for?I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.

he said it he would send me a letter confirming the write off and it would show as settled on my report.
