Mortgage with other debt

Does anyone know which lenders will currently lend to people with unsecured debts not to be repaid with the mortgage?

How much unsecured debt?

It's probably around £15K and we don't want to add it to the mortgage. When we bought there were only a couple of lenders that would agree so I'm trying to find out what our options for a remortgage would be now.

Most lenders will take unsecured debt into account when assessing affordability for a remortgage. May be worth contacting a mortgage broker if you've had issues previously.

It wasn't an issue, it just restricted our options so I'm just trying to get an idea of whether it is still the same lenders we can look to.

how much deposit or equity do you have? You will need at least 10% before you even both to start looking. if you have 15k equity, but 15k debts, it may be a non-starter.

Equity isn't an issue. I'm just looking for an idea of which lenders might accept the unsecured debts so can start looking at the types of deal that might be available.
