Loan after BR

I was discharged in apr 10, and i saw an advert on TV about checking your credit etc for free. So i done it and everything was zero, apart from one search by my car insurance, which is monthly.
Now as i have now sorted everything out ( my ex wife left me and made all my BR debt ) And i have started out again, after i lost everything, i could do with a loan (which i can pay!!!) for a new works van and some advertising--so around 5 grand.
I have applied for a vanquish and a capital one, and they said no. Is there anywhere that WILL do loans for me or should i give up and use my own family car? i made the mistake of filling in a guarenteed loan form online and now get 5-6 txts and phone calls a day offering me stuff but its all BALLS, as i havnt got anything from them.
Any help would be appreciated

Unfortunately, you will it very hard to get any type of credit for few years
to come. My wife applied for a Vanquis CC last year, and she was also inundated with phone calls and texts about loans.:pB&SC No. 298

why do they bother? they NEVER give you a loan anyway!!!
If there was somewhere which had higher interest i wouldn't mind, oh well, just have to work and save for a year or two.0 -
Jus a thought, but did you clean up all three of your credit files - with Experian (I'm guessing that was the TV advert), Equifax and CallCredit? It might be something on the others that is holding you back.
Although, having said that, you will still find it difficult to get credit for some years yet.

If Vanquis turned you down, I would find it hard to imagine anyone else accepting yet. Try Vanquis again in 6 months-thats what I did, refused first time, accepted the second after file clean up HTH0

Have you had a look at the credit unions?
You could always become an MP and bung yourself a few grand on your expenses account
