Statement of Correction - How much will this slow down the process?

Hiya,

We're going for our full mortgage application on Thursday with Nationwide. Already have an agreement on principle with them and been credit checked.

After reading some advice online I decided to add a statement of correction on my report regarding some late payments a few years ago from when I graduated and didn't get into a full time job straight away. I've not missed a payment in over a year, we have a 20% deposit and I'm going to have no outstanding debts by the time of completion.

The statement of correction literally reads that after graduation I failed to secure full time employment however have been in stable employment for over two years now and the debts are fully under control (and about to be paid off now)

When we did the initial AIP this wasn't on my report but the other day my partner and I went to open a Flexaccount for him to give us some free legal help with our mortgage and the Statement of Correction was flagged up. The guy opening the bank account got a bit flustered and confused as we are obviously linked financially but everything was fine in the end.

Will having this on my report slow things down considerably? Is it worth taking it off considering I've not had any late payments in over a year, will have no outstanding balances and a 20% deposit. I would imagine this would mean it would get referred to the underwriters and N'wide are apparently notorious for taking a long time.

Any advice would be really appreciated. :)
