Urgh!!!

Just had a really peeved neighbour turn up with an incorrectly addressed parcel which had been delivered today. Which had glooped white gunk all over his doormat.

Had to apologise profusely and gave him £20 for a new doormat - he'd tried cleaning it and it was ruined.

Opening the parcel and it's a whole load of tresemme stuff - which I just spent 10 minutes washing off in the bath as a large hair tratment tub had split open and glooped all over everything.

Note inside dosen't say much but label says shout winner - so will try to find it and contact them - see if they can resend the damaged item and maybe cover the £20 I had to fork out!

It's the first time i've had anything turn up damaged.

Aw well done for winning, sorry it was damaged. Hope you manage to get refunded.

On a lighter note...I would have peeved your neighbour off more and told him it was just the sperm donation you ordered!

I wouldn't have paid him as it was not your fault the package leaked! And 20 pounds for a doormat?

It was hardly the neighbour's fault either was it? He was doing a good turn for a neighbour, why should he be out of pocket? My Doormat was over £20 and I'm not loaded, so that's not extortionate for one that actually does clean shoes and paws when you enter the house. It's down to Treacle to get recompense from the comp provider or the delivery firm surely? Hope you manage that Treacle, nice win if you can get it sorted.

I felt so embarrassed I just offered what I had in my wallet. He was really annoyed/upset and quite a big guy too and i didn't really know what to say - him stood there with a doormat covered in white gunky ooze and a big bag dripping on my path.

It was a nice doormat :-)
