Just recently split up with my partner, whos name is on mortgage and on land registry, but im the only person who has paid the mortgage from day one from 2001,the mortgage was only based on my wages as she was pregnant and out of work,we have never had a joint account and never married, and ive paid every penny of mortgage from 2001 when we took it out all payments have come out of my current account inc payments for critical illness cover too,can she claim the equity from 2001 even though she hasnt paid a penny, and should i get in touch and tell her to start paying her share now we have split or should i just carry on paying myself ?

A proper solicitor. We're talking a large amount here, not really CAB's forte....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
