My daughter is having her first baby, she is getting worried about the cost of nappies.

Its been a few years since I have bought nappies for our children so am unsure what the best deals are at the moment.

Did see a site offering free nappies, not sure about it

Any tips on getting cheap or free nappies, best buys ?

are you planning disposables or reusables, the reusables are an expensive initial outlay but i know friends that have only ever used these. disposables it depends which you want to use look at reviews i have always used pampers when my girls were little always vouchers for these around and huggies also boots and tescos own makes are fantastic

There are always bargains about, just go on to the supermarkets on a weekly basis.

Maybe new grandma can make a present of a couple of dozen terry nappies.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Motheries are good nappies although I know, as someone said, they are expensive to begin with (as are the liners) but you can wash the liners and think overall it works out cheaper than disposables (if your daughter can be bothered with the washing!)

Re-usables would be especially good if she's planning to have more children (I think they last longer than for one child?) Maybe ask on freecycle to see if anyone has any their children have grown out of?

With our children we tried terry for a week soon got fed up with washing, liners might be the way to go.

Do Boots still do bounty boxes?
